RESURFACE YOUR
FORGOTTEN STARS
A weekly email with 3 GitHub repos you starred and forgot about.
NO SIGNUP FORM. NO ADS. ONE EMAIL A WEEK.
Your CLI home video recorder.
A framework for making generative artwork in JavaScript and the browser.
The hackable text editor.
HOW IT WORKS
YOU ALREADY DID THE WORK
Every repo you starred was worth remembering. Connect GitHub and we'll pull in your full list.
WE SURFACE 3 A WEEK
Each week, you get 3 forgotten repos in a single email. No repeats until you've seen them all.
YOU DECIDE WHAT'S STILL USEFUL
Revisit the ones worth keeping. Unstar the rest — right from the email.
ENOUGH CONTEXT TO DECIDE
Each repo comes with its description, language, star count, and activity status — so you can tell what's alive at a glance.
NO NOISE.
One email. Three repos. No ads, no tracking, no noise.
OPEN SOURCE.
Proudly open source. Read-only access to public stars. Your data is never sold or used for training.

IS THERE A TEXT-ONLY VERSION?
Every digest is sent as a multipart email with both HTML and plain text. If your mail client prefers plain text, you'll automatically get a clean, text-only version — no settings to change.
CAN I PICK THE DAY AND TIME?
Yes. From your account settings you can choose which day of the week your digest arrives and what time works best for you.
WHAT GITHUB PERMISSIONS DO YOU NEED?
We request access to your profile, email, and public repos. The public repo scope lets us read your starred list and unstar repos on your behalf when you click "Unstar" in a digest. We can't see your private repositories.
IS IT REALLY FREE?
Yes, completely. No premium tier, no trial period, no credit card. re:starred is a free, open-source side project — not a business.
WILL I GET REPEATS?
No. We cycle through your entire star list before showing any repo a second time. If you have 300 stars, that's two years of unique digests.
HOW DO I UNSUBSCRIBE?
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also pause or cancel from your account settings at any time — no hoops.
